Vying for Hair Crown in 2019 Australian Hair Fashion Awards
One of Australia’s most lauded and awarded hair salons, Sydney’s Royals Hair (with locations in Castle Hill, Hornsby, Brookvale and Cherrybrook) is vying for 4 top awards in the prestigious and fashion-driven 2019 Australian Hair Fashion Awards.
Having taken a year away from competition work, Royals’ Owner and Creative Director, Mary Alamine, has made a spectacular re-emergence onto the awards platform, earning a Finalist nomination for the top gong of Australian Hairdresser of the Year with her collection, GAIA.
Along with the Royals’ Artistic Team securing a nomination for Artistic Team of the Year for their beautiful ILLUSION collection, Mary has also been nominated for the following awards:
- Hair Fashion Video of the Year
This category awards creatively presented directional hair fashion at its best. Video production must be as professional and creative as the hairdressing that it promotes. The high quality of Australian Hair Fashion is to be apparent in the video
- Australian Hair Shot of the Year
The submitted image should represent your best or signature work and should be a stand-out look. It can be a previously seen image or a brand new shot
Says Mary, ”We are so over the moon and proud of our team for being nominated for Artistic Team in the AHFAs and I am so excited and grateful to have had my work recognized in 3 categories, including the very top category – the pinnacle of every hairdresser’s career is to win Australian Hairdresser of the Year.”
“I’ve been blessed to have a team of amazing people around me who support and encourage me and help bring my vision to life.”
The Australian Hair Fashion Awards (AHFA) is Australia’s largest and most successful independent hairdressing awards program that attracts hundreds of entries from salons and individuals across Australia. A panel of international industry professionals who bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to the judging process judge the entries.
The Artistic Team, led by creative duo Mary Alamine & Travis Bandiera, has been nominated and recognized for their outstanding creative direction, and Mary’s Australian Hairdresser of the Year nomination recognises a hairdresser whose collection shows fashion forward and innovative hairstyling with a strong invention gene.
The winner will be identified as a worthy leader for Australian Hair Fashion on a world stage as a result of their unrivalled ‘newness’ in creativity and stand out execution.
“It’s the Royals Hair mission to deliver the very best service to all our clients and have a team that shared this vision, since opening Royals Hair Castle Hill in 2007. It is through hard work and education that we are where we are today and we will still work hard to deliver the best experience in the salon for our clients. Our award nominations are a true reflection of our hard work and creativity!” Says Mary.
